Digestion Mind Gut Connection

When we think of digestion, we think of food processing through our bodies. Did you ever think about

how your digestion works with your mind. Ever think about the things you eat when you are stressed,

bored, or sad. Our emotions effect our stomach and how our digestive system reacts to the what the

mind is thinking. This microbiome city in our belly is listening and reacting to our emotions along with

food we eat.

IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), constipation, upset stomach, it’s all stress related. Our body is begging

us to do something to be more aware and bring us back to a sense of wholeness. Wouldn’t it be great

to try a more natural approach?

Yoga is a whole body, mind, spirit prescription. We can control and digest emotions practicing

pranayama (breathing) and using body scan meditations. Practicing asana (yoga poses) can improve

digestion and aid in proper elimination from the body.

We will digest some mind body connection tips to make our gut feelings and gut reactions work

together. Healthy mind, healthy belly!
