Water

Remember you are Water…cry, cleanse, flow, let go.

Once we have grounded ourselves and our nervous system feels safe and tethered, we can begin the bold and courageous work of allowing emotions to flow through us.  For some of us, this is the hardest work we will ever do.  Crying might be something that makes you uncomfortable, but this element invites us to do just that-cry!  Cry when you are happy, cry when you are sad, cry anytime-it’s natural.  It’s what we are designed to do when there is an overflow.

Water takes the shape of whatever container it is in-a cup, a bowl, a bottle, a body.  Our bodies are mostly water, somewhere between 40% and 70% water!  Think about that…what happens when we are dehydrated and don’t take in enough fluids?  Our cells dry up, our emotions dry up, our thoughts dry up, there is no viscosity to move.

In order to move and flow, we have to cleanse the old, the dried, the stuck.  So, cry the tears and let them wash away what no longer needs to be there.  Submerge yourself in water.  Like elements heals like elements-get in the water, you are made of water, so you can flow like water.

It’s only through the water that we can let go.  What happens when you are holding something in your hand for too long?  It gets very difficult to let it go, and it might even stick to your skin.  Water allows a smooth transition and eases the way to release what no longer serves us in body, mind, or spirit.

Get in the water, drink water, release the water and find yourself moving the way love moves.
